How do you measure a year?

Confession: I was absolutely obsessed with the musical Rent for most of the ’90s and early 2000s. (And if I’m to be honest, it’s making a major comeback in my life right now.)

I grew up around music—my family an assortment of singers, guitar players, and bass players—so it’s no surprise that music naturally spilled into my life by way of piano lessons, voice lessons, and years of musical theater.

My relationship with music is everlasting (which is more than I can say about my other relationships).  It’s a direct channel to the Divine–an expression of our deepest selves, our sacred selves, and our powerfully creative selves. Thus, I can think of no better way to end 2016 than by paying tribute to this immortal work of art.
